The Canadian Bobby Smyrniotiscoach of Forge FC, assured this Monday that his team is more focused on correct their game than in the disadvantage with Guadalajara in the Concacaf Champions Cup.

Guadalajara beat the Canadians 1-3 last Wednesday in the first leg of the series and this Tuesday he will need win by three goals or more to continue in the tournament.

“If you focus on that it becomes a difficult task; We know that we have to score goals and that in the last game we failed a lot; We have to look for a perfect night,” he said at a press conference at the end of training at the Akron stadium, where the game will be played this Tuesday.

The coach accepted that the most important thing is that the team maintains its identity and the style of play that led them to be champions of the Canadian Premier League.

“We play with a style and that’s what matters to me. We are here because we have been champions four times in Canada”, he claimed.

The Canadians see Chivas as a fast rival with quality that they will have to face with concentration so as not to leave them any opportunity, stated the midfielder. Tristan Borges, who assisted Terran Campbell’s goal in the first leg.

“It’s a difficult game. When you face a rival like Chivas you have to try to play the best game we can“, he expressed.
