Alexis Vega spoke about his act of indiscipline in Chivas: “It was something calmer than what was talked about”

Alexis Vega recalled the unpleasant episode he experienced during the last 2023 Apertura Tournament, when he was still a Chivas de Guadalajara player. and ended up being separated from the team for several games due to an act of indiscipline, which according to the player himself was magnified much more than what really happened.

This was made known by the now Toluca player, where he arrived from the Sacred Flock where he left at the end of the last tournament, among other things, for the moment he starred alongside Cristian “Chicote” Calderón (now in América) and Raúl Martínez and for which they were separated from the team that at that time was led by the Serbian Veljko Paunovic.

Last October it was learned that the three players had participated in a kind of party during a gathering of the Sacred Flock and that they had given a woman access to the hotel where the team was in Toluca to play an Apertura 2023 match. However, the player assures that “It wasn’t anything they put on social media”.

“People believe everything they see on social media. Only I and what was separated from the team know what happened there. “It wasn’t anything they put on social media.”commented Alexis Vega during his participation in José “Canelo” Angulo’s podcast where the forward reiterated that everything was a lie.

“We spoke with Chivas about what happened, everything that was said was a lie. I talked about it with my family to let them know that none of that was true. It was something much calmer than what was talked about”added the player who, of the three punished, was the one who was away from the Guadalajara team the longest, to which he returned after more than a month out of action.

Alexis Vega also spoke about his decision to join Toluca after it became known that Chivas de Guadalajara had no plans to continue counting on him. The Mexican forward confirmed that he had another offer on the table in Mexican soccer as well as from a Major League Soccer team.

“I got another offer from a club in Mexico, but that was also the end of it (an offer). There was even one from the MLS, but I never thought about leaving Mexico. Furthermore, the Toluca fans supported me from the first day.”added the forward who debuted with a goal in his first game with the Red Devils in the victory over Club León (4-1).

“Now that I return I expect the same, I don’t want to talk too much but I want to play first and demonstrate on the field”pointed out the winger who is back in the team with which he debuted in Mexican soccer in 2015 and where he spent four seasons before leaving for the Sacred Flock where he spent the last six seasons.
