The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in an epic Super Bowl that went to overtime for the second time in history and was defined by a touchdown pass from MVP Patrick Mahomes for their third title.

The game was one of the most exciting finals in the NFL that left several established records. Below are 5 records left by Super Bowl LVIII that go to the Kansas City Chiefs:

1. Longest field goal in history: The Kansas City Chiefs opened the scoring in the second quarter with a long field goal, the longest in Super Bowl history.

Jake Moody did it with 55 yards, while the previous mark belonged to Steve Christie of the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXVIII (54 yards). Moody is the eighth kicker to achieve 50 or more yards on a Super Bowl field goal.

2. A pass from a receiver: For the sixth time in a Super Bowl, a player other than the quarterback makes a touchdown pass. In this edition it was Jajuan Jennings to Christian McCaffrey.
