Red Bull, which has just lived a dream 2023 in F1 by winning the two-time constructors’ championship in addition to 1-2 in the drivers’ standings with an almost perfect Max Verstappen and Sergio “Checo” Pérez, published a statement in which it explained the decision to carry out an investigation taking into account that the team takes these types of accusations “very seriously.”

“After the company became aware of certain recent allegations, an independent investigation was launched. This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist lawyer.”the Austrian team announced about the process being carried out against its director, Christian Horner.

It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”adds the statement from Red Bull that is preparing to officially present the RB20 with which they will compete in the 2024 Formula 1 season. The event will be next Thursday, February 15.

According to the Dutch newspaper The Telegraaf, the accusation against Christian Horner comes from a person who is part of the Red Bull team. However, the publication did not disclose the type of improper behavior that the Briton would have had, who immediately rejected these claims.

But beyond the position of the Red Bull boss to deny the accusations, inside the team they chose to carry out this investigation external to the company that was requested by the director of the sports department of the energy drink company, Oliver Mintzlaff.
