A man allegedly drunk and threatening some employees with a stick He died from gunshots from police officers this Saturday afternoon in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported at approximately 2:14 p.m. in the 600 block of Towne Avenuenear 7th Street, west of South Central Avenue.
Agents of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a call about a subject, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and who was reportedly threatening employees of a manufacturing company with a stick.

“The suspect was hit by gunfire and Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the suspect to a local hospital,” said LAPD Lt. Letisia Ruiz.
“Because we have a very preliminary investigation, Detectives have to interview any witnesses we can locate and review any surveillance video and body video of this incident to truly reconstruct what occurred,” the lieutenant added.
The officer said that It was not known if it was an employee or from a person who arrived by chance, and mentioned that all those details will be part of the investigation.
