Former President Donald Trump achieved a new victory in court, now in the Michigan Supreme Court, where the judges rejected the appeal to prohibit the Republican from competing in 2024 in the entity.
The judges considered that although the 14th Amendment to the Constitution disqualified Trump from participating in the electoral process, it was not up to the Secretary of State in Michigan to decide.
The court did not make a substantive decision on Trump’s possible disqualification under the Constitution, but it represents a triumph for the former president.
