Last week it was announced that the song “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”Of the singer Brenda Leereached number 1 on the list Billboard Hot 100, 65 years after it was released. She broke several records that until now were Mariah Careywith the theme “All I Want For Christmas Is You”and She did not let that achievement go unnoticed, sending Lee a bouquet of roses.

Brenda, 78, posted on her Instagram account x (before Twitter) a photograph with the bouquet that Mariah sent her, and which included a card with the following message: “Dear Brenda, congratulations on your historic number 1. Have a Merry Christmas. Love. Mariah.”

The interpreter of hits like “I’m Sorry” and “I Want To Be Wanted” He thanked Carey for the detail, and wrote: “Thank you for your sweet note, Mariah Carey! Wishing you also the happiest of Christmases.” When she found out that “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” had reached number 1, Brenda released a statement, saying: “I can’t believe “Rockin” has reached number 1, 65 years after its release. This is so special! Thanks to the team of UMG/UMe who worked so hard to celebrate the song’s anniversary this year. But most importantly, thanks to the fans who continue to listen to it.”

There is also a new promotional video for “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”which many consider to be the first official one, and which has so far had more than seven million views on Youtube.

As for Mariah, she is currently on tour Merry Christmas One And All!in which he promotes his album of Christmas carols that he released in 1994.
