With at least 45,000 square meters one of the largest retailers in the United States, Costco will have a new branch in Daytona Beach, Florida with a special façade that will be in accordance with the image of the great Daytona International Speedway racing circuit.
In the middle of last year, through a statement, the One Daytona shopping center located right in front of the famous race track home of the iconic NASCAR car competition reported that Costco Wholesale would be its new tenant.
In this regard, Rozanne Ribakoff, president of the complex, pointed out that the new branch of Costco will have a façade design with a checkered flag background very alluding to car racing “This is the only Costco that has deviated from the traditional exterior image,” he said.
Likewise, Ribakoff noted that “bringing in Costco Wholesale is a great victory not only for this city, but also for this county,” He indicated while detailing that with this initiative some 250 jobs will be generated in the community.
“As they do in all the communities in which they have a presence, Costco will also be committed to generating a positive impact in Daytona Beach through community participation and giving back,” highlighted the president of the complex.
For her part, NASCAR executive vice president Lesa France Kennedy said she was excited about Costco and its new branch.We are proud to be part of the positive cultural and economic development for the Daytona Beach community.”, said.
This new Costco location began construction this year and already has an opening date for the first months of next year. “Costco is a leading international retailer that will significantly complete the retail mix and, because we do not currently have a concept like this on site, it will greatly enhance the everyday experience for those who live, visit and play at One Daytona,” Ribakoff said.
