A little more than a week after the capture of Néstor Isidro Pérez Salasalias “El Nini”, details of the former security chief of Los Chapitos and one of his most trusted men.
And, according to a military report to which the newspaper Milenio had access, apparently the criminal leader was celebrating the day he was arrested in the city of Culiacán, Sinaloa.
The reason was the launch of a narcocorrido in his honor, performed by the famous group Los Tucanes de Tijuana under the name “Commander 09”as he was also known within the Sinaloa Cartel.
According to the Mexican Army document, “El Nini” would have relaxed his strict surveillance protocol because he was celebrating the launch of a corrido with his criminal history that he paid for the musical group.
“He asked for his own corrido when he found out that his compadre ‘El Flaquito’ was sent to do a corrido with Los Tucanes de Tijuana. He was very obsessive about getting Los Tucanes to make the corrido, he wanted to see the lyrics, he wanted to hear the tune, he wanted to control everything. He really wanted to be famous,” revealed one of the authors of the report.

This version, coupled with the theory that he was betrayed by Los Chapitos, would show why “El Nini”’s security was not as strict as usual, since it is said that he had traffic police officers from Culiacán on his payroll who They reported any suspicious movement within the city.
