André-Pierre Gignac assures that Tigres de la UANL has the best Mexicans in the MX League

“Diego Lainez the same, Córdova the same, we have some of the best kids of their generations, without a doubt. They may think that I am a sucker because I demand a lot of them, but it is for their own good because I want them to reach the top because they are good players,” he added.

Sebastián Córdova was the first to arrive at the feline institution. Coming from Club América, The Mexican soccer player landed in Tigres de la UANL in 2021. Little by little the Aztec has gained a place in the squad.

In this last season, Córdova has considerably increased his participation in the club. The former azulcrema player accumulates 17 games in the season. The midfielder played in the Campeones Cup, Leagues Cup and Apertura 2023. Sebastián Córdova has contributed two assists for the feline cause.

Diego Lainez was the second to arrive. Like Sebastián Córdova, the adaptation of “Factor” was slow. The former Real Betis player arrived at the club in January 2023. In his second season with the team, Lainez has 15 games on his record. The young forward of 23 years He scored 3 goals and gave 2 assists in the general round of the Apertura 2023 tournament.

The last one to join the squad was Marcelo Flores. This is the first season of “Chelo” with the Tigres de la UANL shirt. The former Arsenal player was acquired in the summer market and He has been able to play 8 games. At 20 years old and with great projection, Flores already scored his first goal in Liga MX.
