Ela Taubert was not having a very good time when she left her native Colombia to pursue her dream of being a singer in the United States. She had left behind her family, and especially her mother, her best friend.

What he did to alleviate the sadness was sit in front of the piano and write songs about what was happening to him. The crying flowed profusely, and it was one of the best ways to vent.

From there came songs like “Crecer”, a song that connected Ela with her audience.

“It is one of the most real stories,” said the interpreter, “the one that has connected me the most with people.”

At the end of the song, Ela’s mother’s voice is heard, where she says that everything will be okay. And indeed, that’s how it happened. Now, after a year and a half of expressing emotions in the form of songs, Ela is happy and delighted to meet new people and to have finally adapted to her new life.

Showing her honesty and vulnerability is one of 22-year-old Ela’s trademarks. c. In recent weeks she has released several songs, including “And if it were you?” and Why didn’t I leave earlier?

These compositions will be part of an EP or an album – something that Ela has not yet defined – of various pop cuts and pop ballads. Meanwhile, social networks have been her best allies for her projects. Just the video of “What if it was you?” It already has more than six million views on TikTok.

“It has been a very nice year and a half process,” he said, “finding myself more than anything as a human being and seeing the artistic part as well.”

“One must start from here,” he said, pointing to the left side of his chest. “Always write my stories from the most honest side and share my heart to people as honestly as possible.”

Ela hopes to go on tour soon because she wants to meet her fans, who already number in the thousands in several countries.
