This year many department stores have closed several of their locations for multiple reasonsAlthough some coincide with the reasons, the vast majority point to bankruptcies, a drop in sales, readjustments in their organizations and even the increase in retail theft.
Among the list of brands and stores that will close branches is TJMaxx and Marshall. The announcement was made on October 25, which specified that The affected locations would be Brooklyn and the Bronx, in New York; and Chicago, in Illinois.
According to a statement from TJMaxx, the American department store chain is currently reevaluating both its sales and real estate strategy, for that reason here we tell you in detail which stores it will close.

The company in the statement noted that “TJX has benefited this year from shoppers looking for deals, with second-quarter same-store sales up 6%,” it said.
However, despite the reasons the company may have for closing these locations, it is expected that In the course of these changes at least 200 employees will be laid offalthough both TJMaxx and Marshall expressed that the affected workers will be relocated to other, closer branches.
