Just a few days before the gala that led the Nicaraguan Sheynnis Palacios to take the crown of the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, the fashion expert Jomari Goyso has issued his first statements on the matter and what he said left more than one with their mouths open.
Always willing to please his audience, the Univision host decided to respond to questions from his fans, regarding the outcome of the most recent edition of the contest.
“What do you think about Miss Nicaragua winning Miss Universe?” they asked her. With the honesty that characterizes him, the famous man acknowledged that he is not a supporter of this type of contests that are based on physical appearance.
“I have never been much for queens because it seems to me that at the end of the day all women should win, all women have the right to win. And at the end of the day, women competing for a physique because, whether they like it or not, Miss Universe is based on a physique, so I feel that sometimes they contradict a little with the movement we are in.”said the host of the Despierta América program.
Regarding his career within the world of pageants, Jomari Goyso argued that: “Nuestra Belleza Latina is a reality show in which the girls who have won Nuestra Belleza Latina would not really have won if they entered Miss Universe because Miss Universe has some rules and some things that…“he added.
Despite his controversial opinion, the famous man congratulated the current winner of the contest, Sheynnis Palacios, who won the first crown for her native Nicaragua: “I’m happy for whoever wins, but it’s a bit my thought (…) “I’m not much of one of those reigns, I’ve always said that. But congratulations to all,” he concluded.
