The Japanese Shohei Ohtani and the Venezuelan Ronald Acuña Jr. won by unanimous decision and without any surprise with the Most Valuable Player awards of the American League and the National League, respectively.

Shohei Ohtani is now the first player in baseball history to win the MVP award unanimously on more than one occasion. Ronald Acuña Jr. did the same in the National League and it is the first time that both awards have been awarded unanimously since 1931.
