The authorities They arrested an armed suspect who barricaded himself for several hours Wednesday morning on a Metro bus in the Hollywood area.
He Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) closed two main roads in the city while the incident took place with the suspect armed with a gun on public transport and which ended without shots being fired.
The first reports of the armed man were received by the LAPD at approximately 4:00 am, and officers Melrose Avenue and Western Avenue were closed to vehicular trafficin the area where the bus was, as a security measure.

According to reports, the driver noticed that a man who was in the back was in possession of a weapon, possibly a pistol. The driver got off the transport and disabled the vehicle while waiting for the police to arrive.
There were no other passengers on board the Metro bus, so It wasn’t a hostage situation..
When the police arrived at the scene, they surrounded the bus, but They could not immediately confirm whether the suspect was in possession of a gun.so the presence of a SWAT squad was requested.
The authorities said that The subject was sleeping in a seat and with a gun at his feet.
Around 6:00 am, LAPD elements deployed a robot dog to approach the public transportation vehiclewhere the subject was barricaded in the rear, and apparently secured a weapon.

Finally, the suspect got off the Metro bus and After a brief conversation with the police, the man was arrested..
So far, authorities have not provided the identity of the suspect.
