The synthetic drug epidemic seems to have no limits and now two children are allegedly intoxicated with fentanyl They were treated at the Children’s Pediatric Hospital in Culiacán, Sinaloa, northern Mexico, where one died and the other was discharged;

Carlos Suárez commented that the minor is stable, evolved favorably during the hours of observation and was discharged this weekend.
The state official reported that both cases are not related to each otherbut, furthermore, there are no reports of other similar incidents of poisoning of children with this substance in the capital of Sinaloa or in another municipality.
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. It is a major contributing factor to fatal and non-fatal overdoses in the US.
