At Big Bear Mountain, the winter season has already begun

On Big Bear Mountainin San Bernardino County, November has begun and they have already launched their snow season.

Weather conditions prevailing in the region, with nighttime temperatures below 25 degrees last week in the mountain town, Big Bear Snow Play activated its snow cannons to prepare the winter wonderland expected year after year by residents of Southern California.

As of November 2, the destination with the largest snow tubing hill in the region, I accumulated more than three feet of artificial snowwhich was enough to start its winter season this Saturday.

“Last week’s weather conditions were absolutely ideal for snowmaking,” Big Bear Snow Play general manager Kim Voigt said in a news release.

“The results are just amazing with three or four feet of snow. “We are happy to announce that the snow season begins now!” added the manager in his statement.

According to a spokesperson, the tourist destination may continue to make snow during the nights of this week, since the forecasts are ideal, and as the days progress towards the beginning of winter, The region could be covered with more than 20 feet of snow on its eight slopes.

Big Bear Snow Play announced that it is in service every day at 42825 Big Bear Boulevard. You have the opportunity to practice tubing from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

It is scheduled for the start of Glow Tubing sessions on November 24and will continue every Friday, Saturday and holidays from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm until the end of the season.

Snow Play is the first winter tourist site to open its doors during the season winter 2023-2024.

Snow Tubing day passes, which include tubing rentals and lift rides to the top of the hill, They cost $45 dollars. Children 36″ to 42″ tall can get a day pass for $30, as long as it is accompanied by an adult ticket.

This past winter season was historic at Big Bear Mountain Resort and for much of Southern California, with intense snowfalls that loaded the mountains with snow and that practically contributed to ending a severe drought that affected the region for more than three years.

On Big Bear Mountain More than 240 inches of natural snow were recorded in the winter.

The exact date for the start of the season for Big Bear Mountain Resort has not been announced at this time.
