Rick Scott, Republican senator from Florida, not only turned his back on Ron DeSantis in his aspirations to win the Republican nomination, but He also published an article where he supports Donald Trump and urges citizens to vote for the New York tycoon.

The text of the former governor of Florida appeared in the edition of Newsweek this week and in it he reiterates that, even though any Republican candidate is better than Joe Biden, the most appropriate alternative is to vote for Trump.

“I know most of the candidates running for president and I respect their decision to go through this very difficult process. Make no mistake: Each and every one of them would make a better president than Joe Biden, but Republican voters are making their voices heard loud and clear. They want to return to Donald Trump’s leadership“, he expressed.

Until now, The former president of the nation retains his leadership in most polls with 43% Republican support on average and behind him appears Ron DeSantis, with 16%. That is, 4% less than what it had a couple of months ago.

In fact, a poll carried out by Des Moines-Register/NBC and whose results appeared this week indicate that the candidate Nikki Haley has already managed to tie the current president of Florida, since both have 16% electoral preferences.

Recently, DeSantis reiterated his commitment to supporting Trump if he defeats him in the primaries, as he will respect the signed document before attending the Republican debates.

However, he rules out that this scenario could come to fruition, as he trusts that voters will not support an applicant against whom four criminal charges weigh.

“I think Republican voters will understand that as we get closer to the vote. It would be fatal in a general election. “I don’t think the party should nominate in that situation,” he indicated.

For his part, Trump is convinced that the lack of support for DeSantis is leading him to a dead end and will soon end up announcing his withdrawal from the campaign.

“He has proven to be a terrible and inept candidate who even fought against Social Security and MediCare.

SOON he will run out of money and drop out of the presidential race. Having elected him governor on his own, without thanks or glory, it has been a beautiful thing to see. Good luck Ron! “He wrote on the Truth Social platform.
