The benefits of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) began to be distributed this Wednesday, November 1, and it is expected that throughout this month millions of beneficiaries will be able to receive their food stamp payments.
This program designed to help low-income families in the different states of the country has a distribution schedule that is followed month by month and that varies depending on the entity.
Payments are usually sent through a electronic benefits transfer (EBT) card which can also change depending on the state, as can the amount of the benefit that is calculated based on the number of members in the household.
For the state of Florida Payments are sent between the 1st and 28th of each month, the exact dates will correspond to the recipient’s case number; Therefore, the distribution of payments will be made this month as follows:
- 00-03: November 1
- 04-06: November 2
- 07-10: November 3
- 11-13: November 4
- 14-17: November 5
- 18-20: November 6
- 21-24: November 7
- 25-27: November 8
- 28-31: November 9
- 32-34: November 10
- 35-38: November 11
- 39-41: November 12
- 42-45: November 13
- 46-48: November 14
- 49-53: November 15
- 54-57: November 16
- 58-60: November 17
- 61-64: November 18
- 65-67: November 19
- 68-71: November 20
- 72-74: November 21
- 75-78: November 22
- 79-81: November 23
- 82-85: November 24
- 86-88: November 25
- 89-92: November 26
- 93-95: November 27
- 96-99: November 28
How much is the monthly benefit?
As in other states, monthly SNAP benefits depend on the number of people in a household, in addition to other factors such as income and whether there is a disability or other social status.
In this sense, a single-family household receives $291 dollars, a family of two $535 dollars, a household of four members $973 dollars, a household of six members $1,386 dollars, and finally a family of eight people $1.1751 dollarsIf there is an additional member, $219 dollars will be added to the payment.
