Tired of his party’s lies, Colorado Republican Ken Buck announced he will not run for re-election to his House seat next year. and instead he will go home.

Through a video shared for his followers on social networks, The 65-year-old politician, who has represented Colorado’s 4th Congressional District in the House since 2015, announced his intention to no longer continue once the term for which he was elected expires.

Kenneth Robert Buck criticized the Republican Party because of the “insidious narratives” it created by spreading the idea that the 2020 presidential elections were stolen and that the Department of Justice represents a defense weapon of the federal government to attack its opponents.

“Too many Republican leaders are lying to America, claiming the 2020 election was stolen, describing January 6 as an unguided tour of the Capitol, and claiming that subsequent prosecutions are a weapon of our justice system. “These insidious narratives breed widespread cynicism and erode Americans’ trust in the rule of law,” mentioned.

In this sense, he suggests that the leaders recover the conservative principles on which the party was founded instead of promoting “selfish lies.”

Subsequently, the New York political scientist also issued a statement of gratitude addressed to the citizens of Colorado.

“To my friends in Colorado, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve our nation and you.

I hope to see them at the grocery store and at high school football games.

It should be noted that Ken Buck is one of eight Republicans who voted with Democrats on October 3 to unseat Kevin McCarthy as speaker of the House of Representatives.something that had never happened in the history of American politics.
