A Florida roofing company hopes to get more business this month after it launched a promotion offering an AR-15 and a turkey to anyone who buys a roof.

Roof EZ president Jason Polly said in an NBC interview that the company’s “Roof and Gobble” promotion is for customers to protect their homes with a roof, gather their families over a turkey, and protect them with an AR-15.

“Everyone should have an AR-15,” Polly said. “Everyone should have the means to protect their homes and families. In reality, it is not about anyone, any state, any political opinion, or anything like that. “It’s about safety.”

However, the company’s own president He acknowledged the unusual and controversial nature of the offer, but said that it fits the particular idiosyncrasies of Florida. “I thought, hey, we’re in Florida. This is the most typical thing you can do. Let’s do it.”

Polly doesn’t consider it crazy to give the customer an AR-15 rifle with the purchase of a new roof.

“The world is a crazy place right now. (Customers) can get a roof and an AR-15 for protection. Why not? she said.

Of course, he assures that his roofers will not drive trucks with rows of turkeys and an arsenal of weapons inside to their work sites, which is at least a relief.

Besides, Buyers interested in this unique autumn offer, whose poster was published on Facebook, have to pass a criminal background check.

“Once you pass the background check, you will be able to pick it up (the gun) in three days,” said the owner of this Cape Coral roofing construction firm, located in Lee County, on the southwest coast of Florida.

He also said that if someone wants to participate in the promotion, but doesn’t want the gun, the company will refund $500.
