Santiago 2023: they assure that the closing ceremony will mark a milestone in the history of Chile

With performances by local and international artists, including the Dominican Prince Royce, the ceremony of Closing of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games will mark a “new milestone” in the sporting history of Chile, as stated by the organizers of the sporting event.

The organizers held a press conference in which they gave details of the closing of the 19th edition of the Games to be held on next Sunday at the Bicentenario de La Florida Stadium, in Santiago de Chile, and the second largest in that country.

The local artists who will participate in the closing ceremony will be Joe Vasconcellos, Pascuala Pablo Ilabaca and Inti-Illimani, although there will also be the presence of traditional musicians and folk groups from Chile.

Harold Mayne-Nichollsexecutive director of the games, assured that at the Bicentenario Stadium “all the infrastructure is being set up to make it a great feat” for Chilean sports history.

“We want to thank everyone for the success, for what is being developed, and mainly for the people who are going to arrive at the stadium and those who are watching on television because of this closure,” he said.

For his part, the minister of Sports of Chile, Jaime Pizarro, He highlighted that “this new closing milestone” will be for the fun of the families and communities that also enjoyed the opening ceremony on October 20.

“Let it be our great meeting point, as the motto of these Games says,” he highlighted.

He also assured that “experiencing this piece of sport has been wonderful” for the country due to the fact of sharing different venues, venues and disciplines.”

He also mentioned that the success of the games is not only due to the athletes of the Chilean delegation, but also to “our family and the community that has committed to watching the events.”

The organization also hopes that the closing ceremony will become “a party” for the audience. and the public, and that both enjoy the identity and strong roots of Chilean culture that represent the millions of Chileans.
