A Lamborghini Countach who played an iconic role in the movie “Wolf of the Wall Street”, starring Leonardo DiCapriowill be auctioned on November 25 by Bonhams. This event will take place at the “On the Grid: The Abu Dhabi Auction” exhibition in the United Arab Emirates.
What makes this vehicle particularly interesting is that it is in a crashed state, just as Jordan Belfort’s character left it in the film directed by Martin Scorsese about a decade ago.
This Countach is one of 658 cars built in the 25th anniversary line, according to Bonhams’ official site. If someone wants to acquire it, they should be prepared to spend between 1.5 and 2 million dollars.
What is notable is that it will be sold as it appeared in the film. Despite its crash, it has remained in perfect condition. As an added attraction for the buyer, a suit that Leonardo DiCaprio wore in the film when he got out of the car, a director’s chair and a tablet signed by Martin Scorsese, DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, t-shirts from the film’s crewa DVD of it and letters of authenticity.
The Lamborghini Countach in question is the same one that Jordan Belfort used in one of the most iconic scenes of “The Wolf of Wall Street,” in which the character, under the influence of drugs, tries to open the front door.
It is worth mentioning that the production of the film used two examples of the same model, one of which will be auctioned by Bonhams, while the other, in perfect condition, appeared only briefly on screen as a backup vehicle.
“The Wolf of Wall Street” is a film directed by Martin Scorsese and released in 2013, based on the true story of the New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort. The film earned five nominations at the 2013 Oscars, including Best Picture, and is available on HBO Max and Prime Video.
In December, another auction house, Sotheby’s, will offer an “intact” version of the Lamborghini Countach from the film. This car is one of two Lamborghinis used in the production of Scorsese and will be auctioned for a similar price, between 1.5 and 2 million dollars. The auction event will take place on December 8 in New York.

At that time, De Niro did not usually introduce me to other actors […]but in this case he told me that he was very good and that I should work with him.”
However, the connection between director and actor goes beyond their shared tastes. The director of “One of Ours” (1990) was impressed by the uninhibited attitude of DiCapriowho, according to him, seemed to not care about anything, especially during their first two films together, although “he was actually being very brave.”
