Mike Pompeo, former Secretary of State, is convinced that the war between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas could last for monthsso the United States, serving as one of its global allies, must be prepared for it.

During an interview with the television network Fox Newsthe Californian politician who worked under Donald Trump, He reiterated that looking out for Israel also means doing so to keep the United States safe.

“We are not talking about hours tonight or days this week; we are talking about months to defeat Hamas in detail.

That is the necessary requirement to keep Israelis safe and, frankly, as we have seen Americans too“, he indicated.

On the other hand, Michael Richard Pompeo criticized the Biden administration for its response to the attacks on a group of US soldiers displaced in Syriawho were surprised by Iranian-backed militias.

“All of this is trade orchestrated and financed by one place, the Islamic Republic of Iran. And what Israel is doing will only continue to push Iran to take even more aggressive actions unless the United States plays its fundamental role in deterring them,” he stressed.

As an ally and supporter of Hamas for years, Iran has publicly warned the United States of a possible escalation of violence if it continues to support Israel in its devastation in the Gaza Strip.

However, Joe Biden’s detractors reproach him for not using a heavy hand to sanction Tehran, at least financially.

In the last few hours it emerged that The Israeli army managed to enter Gaza, but the Jewish authorities avoided at all costs giving this action the term “invasion.”

For its part, the Hamas leadership issued a brief message through which it acknowledged that it was redoubling its efforts to avoid the attacks by Israeli troops caused by aerial bombardments and artillery already inside Gaza.

In this way, in the next few hours or days the allies of the terrorist group could join the war conflict.
