Mexican actress Leticia Calderón He shared on his Instagram account images of the tower where his apartment was located in Acapulco, which was destroyed after the passage of Hurricane Otis, that impacted the port in category 5.
And Hurricane Otis surprised the authorities, residents and tourists by its rapid strengthening, since last Tuesday afternoon it was considered a tropical storm, but by night it had already become a a category 5 hurricane.
The damage so far is incalculable given the magnitude of the destruction, since hotels, homes and businesses were destroyed.
Part of this damage to the houses also affected several celebrities who have properties in Acapulco, such as the case of Leticia Calderón who decided to share what was left of the tower on her Instagram account that housed his department.
“What you achieve with so much effort disappears in one night,” wrote the “Amor Invincible” actress, along with a series of images that show the severity of the damage caused by Otis in Acapulco.
Broken glass, destroyed walls, fallen palm trees and the pool full of dirty water, can be seen in the photos that Leticia Calderón shared. You can also see lounge chairs that were left piled up next to the pool.
The balconies were also destroyed. The tower that the actress shows is where she had her apartment, where she went at every opportunity to enjoy the beaches and climate of Acapulco, but now it’s all about memories and great material damage.
Everything reduced to rubble
What was a luxurious condominium in one of the most exclusive areas of Acapulco was reduced to rubble.
But despite the extensive damage, what worries Leticia Caldeón most is the safety of the residents and tourists who suffer the consequences of Otis.
“What worries and hurts me the most is all the people who worked there, their families, all the people of Guerrero. God, help us get out of this misfortune soon. #weloveacapulco”, ends the message of the first actress.
Another apartment that was also destroyed is that of Érika Zaba, singer of OV7, who also shared images of the damage.
Otis left the port of Acapulco almost cut off, although in some areas electricity has already been restored, but it is not enough, since the damage left by the hurricane has been considered the greatest in the history of the port.
In addition, there is a shortage of water, food and fuel, which puts the people in Acapulco in a difficult situation.
According to official information, 30 people dead and dozens missing.
