Sergio “Checo” Pérez has been highly criticized during this last season of Formula 1 and that has caused the pilot of the Red Bull team have one of the most difficult campaigns since he arrived in the highest category of motorsport. This caused his performance to drop and he lost the opportunity to fight for the world title.

This weekend the Mexican Grand Prix at the Hermanos Rodríguez racetrack and the driver from Guadalajara commented in the mixed zone that it has been the most difficult campaign in his career as a Red Bull driver and that not feeling safe with his car influences his performance.

“This season has been the most complicated (at Red Bull) because I started fighting for the championship and it is not easy. People will never understand what it’s like to drive a car at 300 kilometers per hour and not feel comfortable, not knowing what the car is going to do in a curve. We had a great car, but it was increasingly difficult to get the most out of it with the adjustments and that made it a very complicated and inconsistent season,” Pérez commented.

“As a driver, when you have difficult seasons you know that you can get the most out of the car, but this season it was not like that, I always had many doubts with the car,” said the driver from Guadalajara.

Checo Pérez pointed out that he is currently concentrating on the things he can control, He talks to his engineers every day to improve, because they know where he is and they know he can improve. He also spoke that he hopes to improve many things for the next Formula 1 campaign.

Something that can help Sergio “Checo” Pérez a lot in this season finale could be obtaining a great result in the Mexican Grand Prix, That can cause a shock in the remainder of the championship and can give it a bigger boost for the incoming campaign of the highest category of motorsports.

It will be very interesting what the driver from Guadalajara can do with his car, because he knows this circuit very well and You know in which sectors you can get the most out of your car.
