On day 13 of the Liga MX, Antonio Mohamed was once again the center of attention. In the duel between Pumas de la UNAM and Rayados de Monterrey, the Argentine strategist wore a t-shirt with lin the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. This outfit cost the “Turk” a fine.

The UNAM Pumas coach violated the regulations of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) regarding the use of images with political and religious connotations. This according to article 41 of the Sanctions Regulations.

“No player or member of the coaching staff may show any tattoo, image, print or campaign that alludes to politics or religion, whether on clothing or any garment used.”, notes the article.

Following this action, Antonio Mohamed was fined 500 UMAS, equivalent to 51,870 Mexican pesos ($2,828 dollars). If the Turk decides to violate this regulation again, the fine would be doubled and could even reach up to $17,000 dollars.
