Pitcher Brandon Pfaadt of the Arizona Diamondbacks, was captured through a photograph, reading the Bible before the start of game seven in which his team defeated the Phillies to qualify for a World Series after 22 years, when in 2001 they won the title over the New York Yankees.

Pfaadt was the starting pitcher in the game in which Arizona made history and met the Rangers in an unprecedented World Series, which not even the best experts would have dared to predict, much less the betting houses.

As to Brandon Pfaadt, today he had seven strikeouts and he showed that he is an irreverent rookie pitcher, who is now one step away from glory, and he did not give up on any of the hitters he faced and In four complete innings he only allowed four hitsHe walked two and struck out seven and allowed two runs.

The image of Brandon Pfaadt reading the Bible went viral through social networks and was published by many journalists and baseball writers, including Danny Vietti of CBS Sport, who also posted on his X account (formerly Twitter) “Diamondbacks pitcher Brandon Pfaadt appears to be reading the Bible moments before taking the mound for a winner-take-all seventh game.”

In baseball and in all sports, players have their cabals and rituals or customs to bet on a good performance, and on this occasion Brando Pfaadt shows that his connection with God is the most important thing to him before a game which represented so much tension because of the instances and because it was a decisive meeting.

The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Rangers will start the World Series next Saturday, October 27 on the field of the Texas ninth, from where the final battle will begin to find the champion of another MLB season.
