Former Buccaneers receiver, Super Bowl LV champion, arrested for not paying child support

Antonio Brown, champion in Super Bowl LV with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was arrested for not paying child support, the Broward Police Department in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA) reported this Monday.

Wiltrice Jackson, the mother of Brown’s eldest daughter, He stated that the former receiver owes him more than $30,000 in support, which is why an arrest warrant was issued against him since last August.

Despite his talent, the one born in Miami, Florida 35 years ago, has been involved in a series of controversies that anticipated his retirement at the end of the 2021 season.

Antonio Brown played 12 years in the NFL, where he was selected in the sixth round of the 2010 Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, team in which he remained until 2018, a period in which he was selected seven times to the Pro Bowl and was the NFL’s leading receiver twice, in 2014 and 2015.

His departure from the Steelers, in 2018, It came after he was convicted of reckless driving.

In 2019 he signed with the Vegas Raiders, a team that fined him $54,000 for not showing up for training; without debuting he was sent to the New England Patriots, team with which he only played one game that season.

He was fired from the Pats after the team learned of the pair of rape and sexual misconduct lawsuits the former receiver received, lawsuits that have not been resolved.

In October of last year, the former star of the Central Michigan Chippewas college football team was accused of selling fake watches. Earlier this month the court ordered him to pay nearly $170,000 to the person who sued him.
