Sony has just unveiled its latest ace up its sleeve, the new PS5 with a removable disk drive and 1 TB of internal storage, an announcement that has left the gaming community excited.
This new PS5 model, often nicknamed “Slim”, has reduced its volume by more than 30% and its weight by an impressive 24%. Not only is it thinner, but it is also shorter than its predecessor. This change is a crucial development as it will replace both the original PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition.

One of the most exciting new features is the removable disk drive. Sony has built a bulge into the side of the PS5 that allows for the removal and replacement of the disc drive. The question everyone is asking: how much will the new PS5 cost? In the United States, the price of the version with a disc drive included will be $499.99, while the digital edition will cost $449.99.. In Europe, the cost will be €449.99 for the digital edition and €549.99 with the unit. In the UK, the new PS5 will cost £479.99 with the unit or £389.99 for its digital edition.
The release date is scheduled for November in the United States at select retailers and on the official PlayStation website. Global availability will expand in the coming months.
