Arnold Schwarzenegger he is promoting his book Be useful: Seven tools for life (Be useful: Seven tools for life), in which he reveals many of the decisions he made to stand out in the world of cinema, such as following the director’s instructions James Cameron so as not to blink while shooting guns in the movie “Terminator 2”. However, it was in 1982, during the filming of “Conan The Barbarian”when the actor took his commitment to show his good performance to extremes.

“[Director]John Milius made me do all kinds of terrible things. I crawled through the rocks, take after take, until my forearms bled. I fled from wild dogs who managed to catch me and drag me into a thorn bush. I bit into a real dead vulture, and had to wash my mouth with alcohol after each feeding“Schwarzenegger told Insider.

Despite all this, Arnold does not regret having gone through those tests to achieve his main goal: to be recognized and achieve success in Hollywood. He has insisted that Be useful: seven tools for lifeapart from being a memoir, is also self-help, as it sets out seven rules to fulfill “your true purpose in life.”
