The strike unleashed by workers affiliated with the United Auto Workers union (UAW) against automakers Ford, General Motors and Stellantis, It is the ideal argument for Donald Trump to blame Joe Biden for the problems caused by promoting the manufacture of electric vehicles.

“Corrupt Joe sold them down the river with his ridiculous hoax about electric cars. “Within three years, all of these cars will be made in China,” he wrote on the Truth Social platform.

In addition, The New York tycoon warned the UAW that, if they do not support him on the ballot, their members will end up losing their jobs.

“If the UAW ‘leadership’ does not APPROVE of me, and If I don’t win the election, autoworkers will be ‘fried’and our great truckers will follow them,” he emphasized.

Although within the UAW the vision of the electric vehicle policy is shared, it is worrying for the future of the workers and therefore they are not yet convinced in supporting the re-election of Joe Biden, For Shawn Fain, president of said organization, one thing is clear, he will never support Donald Trump.

For its part, At the top of the Republican Party there is a conviction that by promoting the production of electric vehicles they are eliminating jobs.

It is even noted that Tesla, the largest manufacturer of electric vehicles in the country, requires a better number of employees to manufacture its units, this compared to manufacturers with a long history in the US automotive sector.

It should be noted that, with the aim of winning the vote of the striking workers, Joe Biden promised to travel to Michigan next week to establish an agreement to end the labor conflict.

“On Tuesday I will go to Michigan to join the strike and stand in solidarity with the men and women of the UAW as they fight for a fair share of the value they helped create.

It’s time to reach a win-win deal to keep American auto manufacturing thriving with well-paying jobs in the UAW,” he wrote on platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
