4 migrants found executed near the border wall between Tijuana and San Diego

An unfortunate discovery was recorded in the city of Tijuana, Baja California, just a few meters from the border between Mexico and the United States, in a part of the wall that divides that city with San Diego.

And members of the search group for the missing “We are All Erick Carrillo” discovered the lifeless bodies of four migrants near the highway that connects the towns of Tijuana and Tecate.

According to the newspaper El Heraldo de México, The four victims had gunshot wounds and had their hands tied behind their backs.. The site is known for being a frequented stop for people seeking to enter the United States in search of the so-called “American dream.”

After this gloomy discovery was made known, the National Migration Institute (INM) issued a statement to inform that The bodies would correspond to Mexican migrants who were executeds by members of organized crime.

In addition, the document details that the search began after a person showed up on September 20 at the offices of Grupo Beta Tecate, and reported that two of his relatives tried to cross into the United States, but They were attacked with firearms as they advanced through the mountain area.

“One of them fainted and when he woke up he no longer found his companion, so he decided to turn to the National Immigration Institute and ask for support in order to locate and help him, since he could be badly injured,” the agency indicated.

Of the four bodies found, Three were in an advanced state of decomposition and one had died in the last few hours.which corresponded to the migrant who had been reported missing.

Just last September 11, the INM delegate in Baja California, David Pérez Tejada, warned that at least three areas are totally controlled by organized crime where armed people and various safe houses have been reported, one of which is the mountainous area between Tijuana and Tecate, according to EFE.

“There are areas between Tijuana and Tecate adjacent to San Diego where there is no wall, and that is where criminals take advantage of to have control of that territory,” the official said then.
