After the tragedy where a one-year-old child died from a fentanyl overdosethe New York City Police continuing to investigate the case, found a dozen bags with brown and white powders hidden in what was an apparent “false door” inside the daycarefrom the Bronx.

Detectives returned to the building in Kingsbridge on Wednesday, where they found a “wooden door” under the floor where the children slept, several feet wide in each direction.

The authorities shared photographs of the narcotics on their official social media accounts, where They show the hidden compartments where the criminals housed them.

“We have evidence to show that it was more than just a daycare. It is clear that a drug operation was taking place there“said Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark.

Those accused of the baby’s death are Carlisto Acevedo Brito, 41, and Grei Méndez, 36, who were arrested last Saturday night and are accused, in addition to multiple counts of involuntary manslaughter, of drug possession, and for endangering the well-being of children.

Last Monday, police revealed that they had found a kilo of fentanyl in a closet at the children’s center. Investigators also found in Acevedo Brito’s bedroom some items that are used by traffickers to package large quantities of drugs.

In addition to the death of the one-year-old child, three other children had to be hospitalized due to the incident.
