Shakira and Karol G were one of the most impressive performances on the night of the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Besides, The Colombians left the name of their country very high by winning the Best Collaboration of the Year for the song “TQG”, which belongs to the album “Mañana Sera Bonito” by La Bichota.
First, Shakira received her Video Vanguardia award and performed a 10-minute performance in which he walked through several of his hits: “Chantaje”, “Loba”, “Te Felicito”, “TQG”, “Te Notice, Te Announcing”, “Hips Don’t Lie” , “Whenever, Wherever” and “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53”. Shakira Award then went up to receive her Video Vanguardia award and he dedicated a few words to his work team, thanked the musicians who accompanied him and also dedicated the award to his parents and children. On the other hand, Karol G did a show in which he recalled a type of Arcade game and showed off neon-colored scenery and costumes, also with translucent looks and transparencies, which left little to the imagination.
For his performance he chose two songs from his latest album “OKI DOKI” and “Tá OK”. The choreography was impeccable with a good group of professional dancers and as a curious fact, her ex Anuel AA was in the front row as a witness to all this success of La Bichota. The performer of “Legends Never Die” was invited to present an award.
