Óscar de la Hoya, promoter of Golden Boy Promotions, reiterated that Terence Crawford would beat Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez in a possible fight at super middleweight and He assured that it will make him look like a child in the ring.

In an interview with FightHubTV, De La Hoya expressed that Crawford he is a fighter who possesses a sufficient set of skills and talent to defeat Canelo Álvarez with a masterful performance if the matchup at 168 pounds ever came to pass.

“Terence Crawford is a master. He will make Canelo look like a kid. He will make you look like a child. And that’s just my boxing experience. Do I want Canelo to win? Yes. You know, I promoted Canelo and I want the best for him. I want the best for any fighter. But from a promoter’s point of view, from an expert’s point of view, from a fighter’s point of view, and don’t forget, it’s 10 world titles in six divisions, from that perspective, Crawford will beat him in a masterful performance in a masterclass, any day”, said.

“Talent, it’s just talent. But Crawford is a big guy. Crawford is taller than Canelo. Crawford can reach the size of Canelo. But the difference will be the talent, feet, look at Canelo’s footwork. He is walking on cement. Look at Crawford’s footwork. She coordinates it with his upper body. His footwork is just amazing. He knows how to keep his distance. It will be a no-brainer,” she added.

It should be noted that Terence Crawford expressed that he is willing to get into the ring with Canelo Álvarez at 168 pounds to try to win his third undisputed championship in what he considers to be the biggest fight ever of boxing history. For now, Canelo Alvarez prepares to put his super middleweight belts on the line again against Jermell Charlo on September 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, while Bud will have a rematch with Errol Spence Jr.
