Argentine actor and presenter Julian Gil recently started a business in the restaurant industry with the opening of Polanco Islandan exclusive establishment where you will delight your diners with dishes of Italian haute cuisine.
The restaurant, which is part of a concept created by the chef Jose Mendinwas replicated by the television star and transferred to the heart of Mexico City, so it will no longer be necessary to travel to Miami to be part of this experience.
The place has been open to the public since August 31, so it has already seen any number of diners who came to the place looking for a different experience while eating pasta and other dishes.
From what we have been able to see, its restaurant has a traditional decoration, with pastel colors and immediately takes us back to some corner of Italy.
The restaurant opens its doors from Monday to Thursday from 01:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays from 01:00 p.m. to 00:00 a.m., while on Sundays from 01:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
In its first days of operation, Isola Polanco averages a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5 stars, although it has not been spared harsh criticism, as happened with Gabriela Sosa, who did not feel entirely happy during her stay in the place, in addition to ensure that it is very expensive. His bill was around $700 pesos ($40 dollars)
“Terrible experience, bad bad food, waiters with good intentions but poorly trained, the place is not suitable for rainy days since the terrace has no roof. Expensive prices, tasteless food, the aperol seemed diluted, some tagliatelle with wagyu tail seemed rather poor quality hash. Even the bread they give you to start with was hard and they presumed it was homemade, the pasta is not fresh even though they told us it was, and on the plates they tell you they are to share, but they are definitely normal portions Don’t waste time or money,” accused the client.
Another of the dissatisfied customers complained that they did not assign him a place on the terrace, despite the fact that the place was half empty, while one more criticized the tagliatelle that is served in the place.
Despite these negative comments, 90% of the reviews of the place have reached 5 stars so far, so surely those detailed ones will be polished and tomorrow they will be a thing of the past.
