american singer Steve Harwell56 years old, is at home receiving palliative care and accompanied by his fiancée, due to the last phase of the liver failure that he suffers. His representative announced that he has a few days to live.

Several years ago Harwell was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a disease that causes the heart muscle to be unable to adequately pump blood to the rest of the body. That caused various evils that forced him to resign from his band. Smash Mouth in 2021. His manager reported that “Although Steve is still here with us, unfortunately it will only be for a short time. We hope people will respect the privacy of Steve and his family during this difficult time.”

Smash Mouth was a very successful rock-ska group in the late ’90s, spawning popular singles like “Walkin’ on the sun”, all star (Movie’s theme “Mystery men”), “I’m a believer” (from the film “Shrek”) and “Pacific coast party”. In 2001 Steve had a son, Presley, who died of leukemia at six months.
