23 injured after a vehicle crashed into a restaurant in Texas

The police reported that At least 23 people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a Denny’s restaurant in Texasduring the morning of Labor Day.

The Rosenberg Police Department indicated they received multiple 911 calls at approximately 11:22 a.m., reporting a vehicle that crashed into a Denny’s restaurant located at 27960 Southwest Freeway, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

He vehicle broke through the wall of the buildingas can be seen in a photograph released by the police department that showed the car completely inside the restaurant surrounded by rubble.

23 people inside the restaurant They suffered injuries ranging from minor to severe. They were transported to local hospitals, however the injuries appeared not to be life-threatening, authorities said.

The driver was not injured, police said.

“The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing at this time,” the Rosenberg Police Department said in a statement.

The Denny’s is located along a frontage road off the Southwest Freeway in Rosenberg, a city about 35 miles southwest of Houston.

During the early hours of this Monday also there was a tragic traffic accident in Atlanta, that left five people dead and three others injured, specifically on the ramp from westbound SR 316 to southbound Interstate 85 in Gwinnett County.

A press release from the Gwinnett County Police said the crash occurred just before 4 a.m. local time when 911 calls were received reporting that a vehicle “ran over the wall of the flyover ramp and fell onto the interstate 85 collector-distributor southbound to Pleasant Hill Rd”.

County fire personnel identified five people dead on the spotwhile three others were transferred to local hospitals, according to the press release.

The ramp from Highway 316 west to I-85 south was closed for several hours Monday and reopened just before 9 a.m. local time.
