Despite being the son of immigrantsVivek Ramaswamy believes that the United States should deport all undocumented immigrants.

For this candidate for the presidential candidacy of the Republican Party, the US must secure the border, even applying military force, indicates a report by The New York Times.

ensures that USA is a “country of laws” and, therefore, the undocumented must be deported, in addition to criticizing the use of arguments of the economic contributions of this population to justify their regularization.

He pointed out that during the time of slavery, the democrats (sic) applied the same argument.

“Vegetables will rot,” he said.

Ramaswamy has previously said that the only immigrants who should be accepted into the US are those like their parents, through merit.

“I would put the merit [como motivo para] come to the United States… credit to who gets let into this country, let’s start there,” Ramaswamy said on Fox News. “Adding more people like my parents could be good for this country.”

Regarding children who arrive in the US with their parents, the Republican believes that they should also be deported, but would consider opening a process for them to return at some point.

Ramaswamy even confuses immigration legal processes with irregular crossings, such as pointing out that the so-called visa lottery is not based on “merits”, although that process led by the State Department requires that petitioners meet various requirements, in addition to covering the filters of security.

The Republican presidential hopeful has several extremist positionsHe has even denied climate change.

Former President Donald Trump said he would be open to Ramaswamy running for vice president as part of his presidential ticket.
