Cuauhtémoc Blanco remembers the blow to David Faitelson 20 years later: “I didn't hit him well, he continues to live off me”

On March 8, 2003, one of the most controversial moments in Mexican soccer remained.. At the Luis Pirata Fuente Stadium, Cuauhtémoc Blanco punched journalist David Faitelson in the face and it was recorded on television that toured all of Mexico.

20 years later, Cuauhtémoc Blanco remembers the moment together with the Golden Scorpion and revealed why he did it.

“Before, I was clever with journalists, I was hooked, but you learn… It was the fucking fever because he was fucking me and fucking me; Just like José Ramón (Fernández) when they were on TV Azteca, but I was so güey that it warmed me up and hooked me,” Blanco commented.

“I didn’t hit him well because there was a fence, so I couldn’t give him the good punch that the bastard deservedbut he continues to live from me, he continues to talk about it, ”he explained with a laugh.

El Cuau revealed that he apologized to Faitelson for the goal and admitted the mistake, although he also assured that they are not friends and do not have a friendship.

“No (we are friends), I greet him and apologize, in the end I messed up, I got hooked. I have gone once or twice to her television station. But I don’t consider him my friend… friends are those from football or childhood, let’s say he’s an acquaintance, by chance”.

The former soccer player and now governor of Morelos revealed that all his teammates laughed when he told them that he punched Faitelson in the facebut the next day several workers from Tv Azteca, the chain for which the journalist worked, followed him to the airport after returning from the club.

“No one saw me, I arrived and told them that I had given Faitelson a big blow, then they all laughed at night. But TV Azteca workers went to the airport the next day and screwed me,” said Cuauhtémoc Blanco.

To this day, David Faitelson continues to receive comments on his social networks in all his posts about the punch he received on March 8 and that was marked among the dozens of controversies that Mexican soccer has left.
