A Peruvian man Santiago Ormeno scored this Tuesday his first goal with Juárez FCfor which he signed last February, in his team’s win over 4-1 over the Pumas UNAM on the fifth day of the Apertura 2023 tournament of the mexican soccer.

Diego Campillo, José García and the Colombian Avilés Hurtado were the other scorers for the Bravos de Juárez, who rose to second place in the classification with 11 pointstwo less than the Chivas del Guadalajara leaders.

César Huerta scored for the cats, who despite losing remained in the seventh place with six points.

Juárez attacked from the start of the game and at minute 11 went ahead on the scoreboard when a hand from the Argentine Eduardo Salvio allowed Ormeño execute a penalty for 1-0.

Campillo, in his debut in the first division, marked the It made it 2-0 with a powerful long-distance shot that entered through goalkeeper Julio González’s left post.

The Braves de Juárez did not stop attacking and at 39 they increased their advantage. Christian Oliva took a corner kick from the left that José García headed past the near post to make it 3-0.

The Pumas came out looking to discount the score in the first minutes of the second half and after a save by goalkeeper Alfredo Talavera from a shot by Uruguayan Gabriel Fernández, they scored.

At 56, Huerta grabbed a rebound on the left, outwitted three rivals, finished off on goal, TAlavera made a save and in a second half César converted from the right to make it 3-1.

When it seemed that the cats would add a little more, Julio González committed a penalty to Avilés Hurtado, who took it for the final 4-1 at 81.

Two hours earlier, Chivas del Guadalajara were confirmed in first place in the standings by defeating the Xolos del Tijuana 1-0 and Mazatlán FC defeated Puebla by the same score.

The fifth day will continue this Wednesday with the visit of the Necaxa to the Eagles of Americaof the Cruz Azul to the Tuzos del Pachuca and of the Leon to San Luis. To date, the duels will remain pending Toluca-Monterrey, Querétaro-Atlas and Tigres UANL-Santos Lagunawhich will be held on August 30.
