Police in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA) are responding to a shooting in which “hundreds of bullets” have been firedaccording to local media

The agency in charge of public safety in Pittsburgh has posted a message on the social network X (formerly Twitter) warning that the shooting is “extremely active” and there are still shots.

Officers are beginning to evacuate people from the houses in the 4800 block of Broad St.

If you are inside, please shelter in place, dial 911, and identify your address, location.

“Hundreds of bullets” have already been fired, according to local CBS affiliate KDKA.

According to that television network, Sheriff’s office agents went to deliver an eviction order to the inhabitants of a house and, as they approached the property, an occupant began shooting and the situation escalated into a shootout.

The agency in charge of public safety in Pittsburgh has not reported any injuries or deaths in the shooting.

According to the local channel KDKA, none of the sheriff’s office deputies have been injured by gunshots, but they have experienced cuts from broken glass in the incident.
