The FIFA unveiled the top 10 goals from the Australia-New Zealand 2023 Women’s World Cup for fans to vote for their favorite on the federation’s official website. There is a Panamanian, a Colombian, an Argentine, a Spanish and a Brazilian among the nominees.
From today until next Monday, Internet users will have the power to decide with their votes which will be the World Cup goal among these 10 brushstrokes of talent and lethality in front of the frame.
The great candidates to take the recognition are the Panamanian Marta Cox, who not only scored a great goal from a free kick from three quarters of the field, but that goal represented the first for her country in a World Cup.
Also noteworthy is that of the young Colombian Linda Caicedo, who took off two defenders with a feint inside the area and finished off across the ball to hit the post and score the goal with which the coffee makers defeated Germany 1-0.
And we can not forget the the Spanish Aitana Bonmatí, who starred in a great individual play, feinting 5 rivals to embed the ball into the Swiss goal in the 3-1 win in the group stage.
A separate case is that of the Japanese Mina Tanaka, who took the ball from midfield and based on dribbling and feints, took it to the borders of the small area and finished off crosswise to put the ball into the upper left corner of the rival goal.
It is also worth mentioning the Olympic goal that the Irish Katie McCabe scored against CanadaSomething like that is something difficult to see in football, but much more so in a World Cup.
The list is complemented by the great individual play by Brazil that culminated Bia Zanerattothe shot at the angle of first intention of the English Lauren James and the mid-distance shots of the Australian sam kerrthe Argentinian Sophia Braun and the Dutch Esmee Brugts.
