Rubén Albarrán and Gustavo Cerati on Billboard's list of the 50 greatest rock singers

Billboard magazine released its list of the 50 greatest rock singers of all time, in which the iconic frontman of the Argentine band Soda Stereo, Gustavo Ceratioccupied position 33. Likewise, the vocalist of Café Tacvba, Rubén Albarrán secured the 49th place in this outstanding ranking of musical figures.

Billboard reported that the selection of vocalists focused primarily on groups and not necessarily soloists, with groups mostly having to have back-to-back albums and playing their own instruments.

The vocalist of Cafe Tacvba, Ruben Albarrán, considered one of the best rock singers of all time by Billboard magazine, which defines him as “a shining beacon of musical brilliance. With an unmatched stage presence, and an uncanny ability to reinvent himself with every album release.”

The prominent magazine commented on Cerati: “Gustavo Ceratithe legendary leader of soda Stereo from Argentina, emerged in the 1980s as a transcendental figure, whose stage presence evoked a symphony of mystical allure.

His ethereal voice, which oscillated between a haunting vulnerability on songs like “Té Para 3” and a very high intensity on tracks like “Persiana Americana”, allowed Cerati to weave an emotional soundscape that captivated the audience in a fascinating embrace.

This list is headed by Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones, followed by Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac, Freddie Mercury of Queen, Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. The list also includes prominent figures such as Bono, Robert Smith, Axl Rose, Steven Tyler, Eddie Vedder, Jim Morrison, David Lee Roth, Steve Perry, Janis Joplin, among many others.

The list of the 50 best rock singers of all time made by Billboard, who took into account, from the seven decades of rock history, the people who with their singing, with their composition, with their live charisma and with their indefinable presence have done a good job of spreading music around the world, serving as spokespersons for their bands and spokespersons for the genre.

Café Tacvba will receive the 2023 Hispanic Heritage Arts Award

On the other hand, it is important to note that the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) will award the 2023 Hispanic Heritage Arts Award to Cafe Tacvba. The Mexican band will also be part of the show at the 360th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards, which will take place on September 7 at the Kennedy Center.

The historic Hispanic Heritage Awards, established by the White House to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States, are one of the highest Latino recognitions for Latinos and are endorsed by 40 national Hispanic institutions.
