After selecting Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez as the winner, Mike Tyson changed his mind about his prediction of the fight between undisputed champions and now bet on Jermell Charlo’s victory on September 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In an interview with ES News, Tyson was surprised after seeing the physical de Charlo at the press conference to promote the matchup and hopes he does well against Canelo Álvarez, who will put his super middleweight titles on the line.

“I like Charlie. I liked him a lot before I saw the energy in the press conference. I don’t know… It’s just changed. Did she put pads in her shirt or did she really put on weight? I want her to do well, I want her to do well,” she said.

Like Tyson, the difference in size was one of the things that caught the most attention in the first confrontation between Canelo Álvarez and Jermell Charlo at the press conference, since it is very evident that the American is bigger than the Mexican and he also did not give the impression that he is going up two categories to face the Mexican.

Notably The American will gain 14 pounds to face El Guadalajara and has no experience in the super middleweight division. but some experts and sports personalities believe that weight will not be an issue for Charlo in the fight. What could take its toll on the undisputed 154-pound champion is inactivity in the ring, since he has not seen action for almost a year and a half due to an injury he suffered in his hand.

The predictions for the undisputed duel between Canelo Álvarez and Jermell Charlo are divided. While Some say that the Mexican will comfortably beat the American, Others think that Jermall Charlo’s twin brother could shock the world and end the Guadalajara reign at super middleweight. If he succeeded, he would become, like his compatriots Terence Crawford and Claressa Shields, the only boxers to be undisputed champions in two weight classes.

Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez, 33, defeated John Ryder by unanimous decision of the judges last May in Mexico after 12 years of absence from his land. The boxer from Guadalajara has a record of 59 wins (39 by knockout) and two losses in his career.

Terence Crawford, 35, became the best pound for pound after winning the undisputed welterweight championship and be crowned as the first undefeated monarch since the four belts were disputed. Bud, who went down in history for being undisputed in two weight classes, now has 40 wins, 31 of them by knockout.
