Through a press release, the natural pet wellness company Honest Paws informed dog owners that is looking for canine ambassadors to promote their own peanut butter product.

The job offer is to promote the brand’s product at dog parks and pet stores, among others for a pay of $100 an hour, according to Honest Paws, but the company requires that the mascot “have a great personality and a passion for sweets.”

In the announcement, the company states that although the payment may be little for the pet, there will be other benefits such as an indefinite supply of peanut butter from the Honest Paws brand in addition to frequent massages.

When can the application be submitted?

According to the company, the applications have already been opened and will be available until next Friday, September 1, when they will accept dogs of all breeds to be the canine ambassador.

Another of the qualities that are requested is that the canine have “fantastic barking social skills” and “a love for other dogs and humans as great as your love for zoomies,” the statement says.

Can dogs eat peanut butter?

According to the National Peanut Board, canines can eat peanut butter regularly only if it does not contain xylitol, which is a sugar substitute that is detrimental to dogs’ health. For its part, Honest Paws stated that its product does not contain that ingredient.

The American Kennel Club notes that giving dogs peanut butter in moderation boosts their nutrition with healthy fats, vitamins B and E, and niacin.
