Two regional Mexican musicians are held at gunpoint by LAPD officers

At gunpoint, two regional Mexican musicians were detained by officers of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

The police also arrested a man. who was traveling with the two musicians, who was arrested for possession of weapons.

According to the LAPD, at approximately 1:30 a.m. Sunday, two officers were conducting a traffic stop in the area near the intersection of Hawthorn Avenue and La Brea Avenue when they discovered one of the men was in possession of a firearm.

The two regional Mexican musicians, identified as Calle 24 and Chino Pacas, and the arrested suspect were traveling in two vehicles, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan and a Cadillac Escalade.

The authorities said that the person arrested for possession of the firearm identified himself as a representative of one of the two musiciansbut it was not disclosed which of them he was related to.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the suspect also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

For a moment, regional Mexican musicians Calle 24 and Chino Pacas were left in the custody of LAPD officers..

The two artists are reportedly signed with Street Mob Records, a record company associated with Jesús Ortiz Paz, leader of the regional Mexican group Fuerza Regida.

This Saturday night, Calle 24 and Chino Pacas appeared as guests of the group Fuerza Regida in their presentation at the BMO Stadiumformerly Banc of California Stadium, at 3939 Figueroa Street, in Exposition Park.

Neither of the two regional musicians was arrested by officers and both were released from police custody.
