The unfortunate attack perpetrated with mines placed on land in the municipality of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, continues to claim victims, since it was announced that There are already 6 people who died and at least 12 injuredamong them municipal and state police, as well as some civilians.

In addition, the first investigations reveal alarming data, since it is now known that there were 7 explosive devices that explodedout of a total of 8 mines that the criminals placed.

In order for the authorities to fall into the trap, those responsible made an anonymous call to a searching mother in which they apparently gave her the location of a drug grave, for which the woman notified the State Prosecutor’s Office, without knowing what was really happening. it happened.

As if that were not enough, the criminals abandoned a white pick-up truck, which had a device that would explode the moment it was turned on; However, the device was deactivated by the state police bomb squad, according to the site La Silla Rota.

The DEA intervenes in the investigation

Given the seriousness of this attack, alarm bells were raised in the United States government and elements of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) were present at the scene to “collaborate” with the state authorities in the investigation of the case.

Sources from the Jalisco prosecutor’s office confirmed to La Silla Rota that foreign elements will also help to try to dismantle the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), a criminal group that is held responsible for this attack.

The truth is that, with this attack, it became clear that the level of cruelty on the part of the cartels increased, by resorting to terrorist practices against the authorities.

In addition, the planting of homemade bombs would seek to prevent the prosecutor’s office from investigating clandestine cemeteries to recover the bodies of people who were tortured and murdered.

The Jalisco prosecutor’s office has registered 139 clandestine graves throughout the state since 2019 to date, and 63 of those have been located in Tlajomulco.
