Arturo Peniche was eliminated this Wednesday from ‘Top Chef VIP 2’ in a very tense night in which the last two tickets to the semifinal that will take place on Thursday and Friday from Mérida, Yucatán were defined.
Last Friday Alana Lliteras managed to be the first to guarantee her stay in the land where she grew up, while on Monday and Tuesday Germán Montero and Laura Zapata did the same, so Arturo, Sebastián Villalobos and Jesús Moré fought for the last two places.
But on this occasion the three semifinalists did not stay in the comfort of the cellar, as they played a very important role in the first challenge of the evening, as it was a test to cook as a couple and each applicant had to team up with one of the classifieds.
Thus, Sebastián and Laura worked together, while Alana teamed up with Jesús and Germán with Arturo. After that first challenge, only two of them advanced to the next challenge in which the first semifinalist of the night was defined and the ones who achieved it were Moré and Villalobos.
In this new challenge in which they were able to cook a dish with which they failed in the past and although it was very fought over, due to the high quality of their recipes, it was the Colombian who won his ticket to Mérida. However, during the test the tension was present in the cellar, as Alana complained to Arturo and Laura about the comments they made about Sebastián during the competition.
Finally, the expected confrontation between the Mexican actors arrived and unfortunately Arturo was not at his best, so when he presented his dish he did not feel 100% and he apologized to the judges for his performance. On the other hand, Jesús did not have his best day either, but for the judges he had a better dish and earned the fifth ticket to the semifinal.
